When autocatalyic chemical reactions occur in the presence of diffusion, it is possible for stable patterns to emerge that reflect a balance between the run-away effect of the reaction and the spreading effect of diffusion. Reproduce some of the spontaneously formed reaction-diffusion patterns observed in the paper by Pearson: Science, 261, pp189-192, 9 July 1993. Create a gallery of your results similar to Fig. 2 of the paper, and make a movie of the most interesting pattern.
